Dear Friends,
I’m excited to announce that my new single is out in the world, from my forthcoming album Dominion of Spells. Fox’s Song has just been released on Hudson Records, the brilliant indie label run by my friend Andy Bell, who lives just down the road from me here in Sheffield. I’ll be taking the song out on tour this week, with dates around the UK previewing the new album.
Fox’s Song explores midlife transformation: a contemporary retelling of the Siberian tale The One-Eyed Man and the Woman-Vixen. The song was sparked by Sharon Blackie’s vivid retelling of the story in her book Wise Women. I hope the song resonates with anyone navigating their own midlife shifts – and who might enjoy the idea of transforming into a fox as much as I do!

Look out for the video, coming soon, which is made entirely from crowd-sourced fox footage. We have a treat in store with this — and more new singles coming soon — so please sign up to my substack mailing list HERE if you’ve not already, or follow me on Instagram to keep up to date with new developments this spring.
I’m also heading out on tour this week, with Louis Campbell (guitar) and Lucy Revis (cello) previewing Fox’s Song and other music from my upcoming album. I’d love to see you along the way if you can make it.
