- On 28th November Hinge of the Year will be released as a special limited-edition vinyl and digital EP. In the title track a new carnivalesque edge creeps into Emily’s folk-noir style, with tipsy harmonies, a drunken melody and a stunning saw solo from Lucy Farrell, conjuring Victorian occult splendor. ‘Scorching Sun’ draws on lyrics from an Italian lullaby, tackling war from a mother’s perspective, featuring haunting vocals and a breathtaking performance by some of the North East’s finest Brass players. Rounding off the EP, ‘Moon Shines Bright’ is an unadorned carol learnt from an archive recording of English traveler Jasper Smith.
- Each vinyl comes with a free digital dowload of all songs, and for those of you who can't wait to hear it, don't despair, as there will be advance copies for sale at all the November gigs, so be sure to come along to snap up a copy.

- 'Like frost on a spider's web, the songs are intricate, beautiful and brittle, entrancing with an undertone of sinister melancholy.'' (***** R2 )
